for historic brick flooring we most commonly use slices from the middle of the brick. This ensures a relatively flat surface, and a constant thickness. Of course its also possible to use, the outer side sections of the brick, which will result in a more rustic surface ideal for exclusive wine cellar floors.
Depending on the layout pattern, joint material and the treatment of the surface, the results will very. The process of laying these historic bricks is basically the same as laying tiles. We will be happy to provide any expert advice needed to help achieve the best results for your project.
Basic material old Austrian brick size is 29x14x6, 5cm (11 7/16 x 5 ½ x 2 9/16)
Because there are so many options when cutting, the bricks are only processed to order. However, we have limited quantities of the standard cuts on stock.
